Cyclone Signs is currently seeking a part time workshop assistant. This position is for weekday hours. This is a paid hourly position.

The individual will assist in all facets of the custom themed sign making process. Individuals will be working in a workshop enviroment currrently in Lancaster, Texas. Applicants can expect to experience woodworking, metal working, special effects, electronics and event programming, pneumatics, special effects painting, sculpting, molding and casting, foam carving and hardcoating, vinyl decal application, and many other special and unique skills that are necessary to build our custom works.

Ideally applicants will have at the minimum basic knowledge of working in a workshop enviroment including but not limited to working with handheld power tools, woodworking tools, painting (expect to do lots of painting!), metal working tools, welders, special effect molding and casting, and pneumatic tools. Of course applicants are not required to already posess all these skills as this position presents a great oppurtunity to learn many of these skills over time. It is desired to at least have some basic knowledge. Please indicate all skills you feel are applicable to this postion in the special skills section of the application page.

Examples of power tools you will likely encounter and use in the workshop-

Miter saw, table saw, routers, jigsaws, bandsaw, palm sander, disc sander, belt sander, MIG/TIG/Stick welder, chop saw, metal brake, metal shear, pneumatic tools, air compressor, many assorted hand tools, various drills, drill press, soldering iron, and other assorted power tools as the project requires. You are not required to have prior knowledge of all these tools but at least basic knowledge and handling is preferable.

Also looking for individuals with artistic backgrounds. This may include but will not be limited to painting, sculpting, woodworking, special effects prop makers, set designers, prop making, and other creative skills that can be applied towards creative design and engineering we do here at Cyclone Signs.

Hired individuals will also be requested to participate in any conventions that Cyclone Signs participates in including but not limited to Transworld Halloween Attraction Show in St. Louis, Mo and IAAPA in Orlando, Fl.

Travel expenses including transportation, lodging, convention fees will be covered by Cyclone Signs.
